A Woman who is barren, without a child!
Hannah was not treated well and being ridiculed because she had no child
, she ask her husband to give her child, but her husband replied, am I God that
I could give you a miracle child! He
said to Hannah, his wife, don’t you know that my love I have given you was more
than ten children combined!
But Hannah, prayed consistently and without ceasing to God! When they visited their house of prayer, Eli,
the priest, when she saw Hannah praying silently and intensely, though only her
lips is moving, as if she’s talking to somebody, he said, how long woman will
you continue to be drunk, go home and purge yourself with toxic wine!
But Hannah replied, my lord, I am praying hardly to our God that He
might give me my heart desire to have a baby, and when that child comes, I will
dedicate him to the Lord and give him as a token of my appreciation to be a
priest of our righteous God.
Eli, the priest prays for Hannah that God will grant her request. When her husband lies with her, she
conceived, and God blessed her with a son, name Samuel and he gave him to the
Lord after she weaned him.
Then, Samuel grew as a might prophet and he serve the Lord as priest the
rest of his life, whilst his mum, Hannah’s womb, was opened by God, because
children are God’s gift!
Hannah and her husband were so happy because Hannah bears more children
after Samuel’s birth.
From that day forward, she was no longer put to shame, a disgrace and a
curse, because God answers her prayer to have a baby and in return she gave him
back to him to become a priest and a prophet of the Lord!
